On March 29, 2025 (Sat) at the Knowledge Capital Conference Room, Grand Front Osaka in Kansai, and on April 1, 2025 (Tue) at the TKP Sapporo Conference Center in Hokkaido, regenerative medicine seminars were held under the theme of "What Was Impossible to Do Can Be Done Again: New Options in Regenerative Medicine". A seminar on regenerative medicine was held at the TKP Sapporo Conference Center in Hokkaido, Japan, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

 

We were again impressed by the high level of interest in regenerative medicine in both Osaka and Sapporo. We would like to thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to participate.

Seminar】The "present" of regenerative medicine and our clinic's efforts

At this seminar, Dr. Sakamoto (Osaka), our President, who is also a board member of the Society for Regenerative Medicine and Anti-Aging, and Dr. Kogane, Director of the Sapporo Clinic, took the stage to explain the treatment with illustrations and videos of actual treatments.

The lecture provided easy-to-understand explanations with illustrations and videos, ranging from basic knowledge of regenerative medicine to the cutting-edge treatment methods we focus on and actual examples of improvement.

Current status and issues of regenerative medicine and how it differs from PRP treatment

Regenerative medicine is currently an uninsured, free medical treatment. Even in "regenerative medicine," the "quality" of stem cells and "culture/treatment techniques" vary greatly from clinic to clinic, and there is a difference in performance.

He clarified the difference from PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy, which uses your own blood, and explained that regenerative medicine (stem cell therapy) is a treatment that aims for more fundamental tissue repair. He also touched on the misconception that "PRP didn't work, so regenerative medicine won't work either.

We culture stem cells using your own blood, instead of blood from cattle or other common sources. Our goal is to reduce allergy risk and produce stronger and more active cells. (*Autologous blood culture is considered technically challenging.)

Post-stroke sequelae (cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage), spinal cord injury/postoperative spinal cord tumor, spinal cord infarction, etc. In addition to intravenous treatment, he introduced examples of dramatic improvement by "direct injection," which directly approaches the area around the nerves. He also mentioned the possibility of preventing recurrence through the angiogenic effect.

As examples of improvement, videos were shown of people who were able to raise their paralyzed legs within minutes of treatment, stabilized their gait, improved their sense of dyspnea, and smoothed out their speech.

Osteoarthritis of the knee, hip, meniscus, and shoulder rotator cuff injuries. Treatment methods aimed at cartilage and tissue repair are explained. In particular, he introduced our unique innovations and good treatment results (cases in which surgery was avoided), including "pinpoint injections" to the hip joint.

Videos were shown of people whose joint gaps were widened by x-rays, who were able to return to sports (marathon running) without pain, and who were able to avoid surgery.

Examples of improvement in diabetes (improvement of hemoglobin A1c and retinopathy, a complication), liver disease, and post-coronary syndrome (fatigue, cough, nausea, brain fog, etc.), which are common problems in recent years, were also presented.
